Natasha Sengotta

Founder of Vita Artes Performance Academy
Instructional Development 

Natasha has been involved in theatre from the very young age of four. Her passion for the musical arts grew throughout her adolescent years. She continued along this path and received her Diploma in Performing Arts from the Canadian College of Performing Arts in 2009. Upon graduation, Natasha performed in a variety of theatre and film productions. Highlighted roles include: “Anytime Annie” from 42nd Street and “Alexa Vere De Vere” from As Bees in Honey Drown.
 
In the summer of 2013, Natasha started up 'Gotta Act Theatre Company out of which she taught an intensive summer theatre camp in Kamloops, BC. After teaching in Kamloops, she launched her teaching career in Vancouver, BC, where she has taught Musical Theatre, Dance, Voice, Speech Arts and Drama to children from the the ages of 2-17. In 2017 she graduated from Capilano University with a Bachelor in Performing Arts, then attended UBC where she received a Bachelor in Secondary Theatre Education in 2018. In 2021 Natasha Completed a Masters in Education from UBCO, and in 2023 she completed her Special Education Certificate through Queens University. She is currently the Vice Principal at J.W. Inglis Elementary School.

 

Natasha is very excited to continue to see the growth of all VAPA's students in the Performing Arts and in Life.

Sydney Sengotta

Founder and Instructor for Vita Artes

Sydney has been performing on stage in plays, operas, musicals and festivals for over 25 years.  Originally from Vernon, he first trained with Tony Stamboulieh, The Moore’s, Elizabeth Scott and was featured in performances such as Godspell, La Boheme, Cabaret, The Mighty Casey, The Tempest, Pajama Game and many others. 
 
Sydney received his Diploma of Performing Arts from The Canadian College of Performing Arts in 2008. After that he worked on stage and in film across Western Canada, performing in the Royal Theatre in Barkerville, the Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore, the Rocky Mountain Railtour and many other venues. Notable performances
 include Rumours, 7 Stories and A Class Act, as well as performing in Canada Day Celebrations in Vancouver, Victoria, Ottawa and Toronto.

 

In 2011, he began teaching with The Bolton Academy of Performing Arts, training students in speech and drama, and the following year completed his ATCL Diploma in Performing Speech and Drama from the Trinity College London. In 2015 while teaching at BASA he worked with Place Des Arts, The Leigh Square and other centers around the Tri-Cities area. Around this time Sydney began adjudicating competitive festivals. In 2019, Sydney moved back to Vernon while completing his Masters in International and Intercultural Communications from Royal Roads University.
